This is an entirely new realm for me. Tracks from The Convalescence EP have begun receiving play on college radio stations around the country, and to say that I’m completely stoked is a mighty huge understatement. I can barely spell, or walk, or maintain focus on mundane, rudimentary tasks.
Now look here. College stations, being the beautiful monsters that they are, allow the DJs to play...

With our stalwart low-end honcho, Brian “great-grandson of Scooter” Killeen sampling all there is to possibly sample in Tokyo (Bri is playing four nights at the Cotton Club in Tokyo along with Josh Dion as part of the Chuck Loeb Trio), we decided to do this show as a trio… Craig on djembe, Patrick Firth...

Yes, Radiohead has a magnificent song with this title, but I’ll always think of Sounds of Blackness and the grand, mighty, never-tired positivity of this song. The choices in terms of arrangement might be a wee bit dated, but it’s simply glorious. I love love love this recording.
It’s one of the handful of songs I know I can turn to when I feel the seeds of doubt germinating...

It's about time (i know i know)
I was in a band from 1989 until about 1996 called Serious Pilgrim. I could write a blogpost as long as “The Iliad” about all of the madcap adventure we enjoyed and endured over the time of our existence. But I’d rather share the music.
We recorded three demo cassettes and 1 full-length album, and two of the demo cassettes have finally crashed the digital music party.
