Posters! One of my favorite things about playing original shows is designing posters to go with said shows… some posters end up coming out better than others, and I believe that to be the case with the poster for my upcoming show at The Bitter End on Thursday October 29th. I saw this old image of a racecar on an old state fair poster from decades back, and thought it’d be fun to use it. When you have an inspiring old found object to start with, the rest always seems to just flow and congeal. Hope that if you’re in NYC on October 29 you’ll consider coming by The Bitter End. We hit at about 9:30, and Caleb Hawley is playing before us (it’s his CD release show). He is simply fabulous, with one of the most soulful voices and approaches of anyone I’ve had the good fortune to meet… be sure to come early for his show, which starts at about 8. Brian Killeen and Pat Firth will be playing with him, and with me. Doubleshot!
