On your radio, on your radio…

This is an entirely new realm for me. Tracks from The Convalescence EP have begun receiving play on college radio stations around the country, and to say that I’m completely stoked is a mighty huge understatement. I can barely spell, or walk, or maintain focus on mundane, rudimentary tasks.

Now look here. College stations, being the beautiful monsters that they are, allow the DJs to play whatever they wish. They’re not forced by cigar-chomping station managers and chart-spewing-univac robots to play what’s supposedly “hot” or “cool” or “in” or “on”… they play whatever they wish. The fact that they’re choosing to play tracks from The Convalescence EP is at once humbling, mind-blowing, and neat-o.

By the same token, college stations, being the beautiful monsters that they are, don’t really take requests, because the DJs get to play whatever they wish (did I not say that already). But if you live in the broadcast area of one of these stations, you can certainly listen, and perhaps hear one of my new songs, and perhaps contact said station to say “that song was neat-o.” Or you could even listen online, as most radio stations have abandoned ancient techniques and bravely entered the digital age.
